Noah Clowney, the No. 62 overall prospect in the 2022 class, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, he tells 247Sports.

Clowney is Alabama's second commitment on Monday afternoon following the decision of 2022 five-star prospect Brandon Miller.

"I really like the play-style, I think I fit into it well," Clowney said of why he chose Alabama. "I just trust they're going to develop me how I need to be developed. I think I can showcase a lot in the offense for me to get to the next level. It's a great place."

The 6-foot-9, 205-pound power forward out of Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman committed to Nate Oat's program over his other two finalists in Indiana and Virginia Tech.

"I think I am going in and making an impact from day one," Clowney said of what he brings to the program. "I think I just got that dog instilled in me from always being unranked until about six months ago. I think I'm going in on day one and making an impact and I am going to do everything I can. It's going to be earned but I am going to make an impact from day one."

Alabama offered Clowney this past summer and have quickly developed a strong relationship with the four-star recruit.

"Me and [Antoine] Pettway are very tight," he said. "[Nate] Oats is very genuine, the same as Pettway, I would trust them with everything."

Clowney took his final official visit to Alabama in late October and several aspects of the program stood out to him while on campus.

"All visits are designed to be good so I always have fun when I am there but things that stood out there were things outside of basketball," he said. "As far as skill development, they don't force the bigs into like doing just post moves on one end. The coaching staff is invested in their players, truly. I do love the dorms there, great dorms. It's a lot, they got great facilities and injury prevention. There's a lot of good."

Clowney is Alabama's third commitment in the 2022 class joining five-star prospects Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley.
